TCL to Name Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Prelude to a New Era of Global Entertainment Marketing by Chinese Brands

(22 January 2013, Hong Kong) – TCL Multimedia Technology Holdings Limited (“TCL Multimedia” or “the Group”, HKSE stock code: 01070) is pleased to announce that the Group has obtained the naming rights of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, the landmark building on Hollywood Boulevard. The building will be officially renamed “Hollywood TCL Chinese Theatre". This move marks the first time the Theatre reaching a naming cooperation with an enterprise since its completion 85 years ago. It not only marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation between Chinese brands represented by TCL and the international entertainment industries, but also represents a milestone in the globalized development of Chinese enterprises.
After the new name becomes official, TCL will assist in the overall upgrading of LCD and LED digital display, electronic posters and advertising screen facilities in the Theatre.
Mr. Donald Kushner, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman of Chinese Theatre Management Company said: "Today will go down in our corporate history as a milestone. Ms. Shu Luomei, Commercial Counselor in Consulate General of China in Los Angeles, was invited to attend an unveiling ceremony for renaming the Theatre.
