Digital Imaging Business Unit is a hi-tech subsidiary of TCL Multimedia that develops all-in-one video camcorders, using its core capabilities in R&D and marketing of integrated DV and DC products. The hundreds of engineers working at the Shenzhen R&D centre all have established backgrounds in internationally recognized DV/DC/mobile phone design and manufacturing operations. The centre is completely independent in research and development, so it possesses particular prowess in industrial design with the aid of its powerful software and hardware infrastructure, and it specialises in digital products such as DV, DC and PMP. The manufacturing facility in Huizhou, which occupies a total area of 5,000 m2, has at its disposal large scale Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and it has further invested RMB 50 million in Philips / Siemens SMT machines. Besides all this, the factory is equipped with a world-class flexible CELL line, and a 10K Clean Room (with a key bench of 100K). All this equipment is certified by ISO9001, FCC, CB, CE and CE-LVD.
The Company has set up a sales network covering both Chinese and overseas markets, and therefore has substantial reach in both international and domestic sales.. In tandem with this development sales representatives have been set up in many cities on the Mainland, thus successfully expanding its reach in China and putting in place an excellent domestic sales infrastructure.
